IMO, PC gaming was never d0med in the first place. I'm a PC gamer to the heart, and never owned any consoles beside the old Amiga and Commodore 16 and 64, so I don't really know what I'm losing on, but I still know that there are more PC gamers out there than consolers around the world, and quality titles are up and coming all the time.

I agree with your opinions. Some of my own would include that seeing the swarm drop armor was simply there for laughs, the fact that wraiths are already in Diablo 3 (if you count those ghosts that came out of those trap stones, and they are awesome at this stage - slow you down and don't seem to stack, as well as being resistant to physical damage), and again coming to the swarm - check the witch doctor's repertoire of spells - included as spell now, and awesome as well.
Of course we say good bye to monsters, but recycling can be a weird thing - like making the bear hammer slam of the wendigo in a spell of the barbarian with an included transparent hammer.
And, of course, nobody should forget the fact that the guys working at Diablo in the present day ARE in the present day, not some guys trying things out hoping to get a profit out of it. Now Blizz has the resources and talent to make things superb, and I believe in them. I mean, look at what the old Blizz North employees came up with? A mediocre "action"-"RPG" game which is only fun for about 6 hours after which you prefer to endlessly play something else, like Spore's Cell Stage. That is why I hate it when some people say that good games should be made by the same old guys.
Now enough ranting - you made me register, so bear with me, 'cause I'll be here for some time I guess :P

Call me weird, but I never really liked half-life or half-life 2. They all seemed disparate with a cliched story line and robotic people and voices, kinda like oblivion.
Nor was I a big fan of CS, mainly because of the people playing it being something between the age of 12 and the age of socially retarded.
Nor was I a big fan of the team-fortress games, because nobody would play them around here. Nor was I there to play DoD. I liked portal at first, but got extremely boring extremely quickly.
I didn't even play the other half life episodes, and although I love zombie games or whatever, I got bored of L4D 15 hours into the game. I still play Nazi Zombies though...
Why? I never really got the incentive to buy TF2, and I did play it when it was free too...

I love CoD4, for instance. Quake was the first real game I finished on the harder settings. Hell, I even loved Doom (never played Doom 3 though). I do still play CS every now and again, but just when no other alternative is possible. I love starcraft, warcraft 3 and the two diablos. I like many games, any type, no favourite type.
I love videogames, I even have a video game site. Not too large you see... you can see it at www.gredb.com . I've had final exams recently, so no update for a while, but more is to come... Mostly all the games reviewed there are games that I liked enough to finish and perhaps play even more.

It's not really that... I love CoD4 multiplayer, although it gets a bit annoying sometimes, since I'm not really as good as all those level 55's and get my ass handed to me. I also like playing CS with my friends, in the same room only. And I can't say I didn't like Team Fortress 2, since it is quite enjoyable, but it just doesn't attract me.
Of course, I'm used to single-player gaming, because I didn't really have broadband internet I could properly use to game online until... 2002? Might be just because of douche/mingebags online that just won't shut up.
