I just learned today that BioShock 2’s downloadable content, made available today, actually existed on the installation disc. 2KGames’ sale of the content consists of nothing more than offering us a key to unlock a safe we already have on drive.
The new DLC, titled the Sinclair Solutions Tester Pack, weighs 108kb for the Xbox 360 and 24kb for the PC – in other words, nothing more than an unlock file. Suspicious users questioned the company and its intentions on its official forums, prompting a… More
"Scandal. In the game Bioshock 2, children are used and murdered. Little girls are used like dogs looking for drugs for their masters."
Aforementioned is the wordy headline used by major regional Polish newspaper Gazeta Lubuska, which expressed its outrage at Bioshock 2 in an editorial today.
Bemoaning the game’s lack of Christian (or Catholic) values, the newspaper describes Bioshock 2’s core gameplay as the Big Daddy’s use of little girls, trapped into inhumane lives and forced to seek out dr… More
The launch reel for the Bioshock 2 has hit the intertubes revealing a score of new details about the upcoming game. Set ten years after the events of the first Bioshock, players take on the role of "Subject Delta", a prototype for the Big Daddies seen in the original story.
My end of the year Top Fives are back for your reading pleasure. As the year wraps up there is a bunch things I like to cover including Game of the Year, a look in to next year, the biggest stories of the year and today's edition "Biggest Gaming Disappointments of 2009".
Last year Spore took home the title largely in part to the massive DRM fiasco and a near total lack of fulfillment from a game that had almost limitless potential. This list isn't limited to specific games or anything along t… More
2K Games has announced an interesting new multiplayer gameplay mode for Bioshock 2 called “Capture the Sister” that adds a Capture the Flag-styled match with Little Sisters as a substitute to patriotic cloth objects throughout the map.
Players will have to find the Little Sisters, grab ‘em and carry them to the safety of a vent, and earning points for completing the objective. As other players will also be trying to do the same, players will have to make like Roman Catholic clergy to fight over… More
E3 beings Monday and the gaming news is coming in fast and furious. The good fast and furious, not that Tyrese crap. I will be continuing my Pre-E3 series as well with the PC edition, hopefully later tonight, surely sometime this weekend.
First up there are a bunch of release dates to announce for some highly anticipated games later on this year: Batman Arkham Asylum - Coming in on PS3, PC, and Xbox 360 August 25th. This is the new date after the game was pushed back from June. Collectors Edit… More
Welcome to another edition of my E3 preview, the second of four. Today's features Microsoft and the Xbox 360, potential announcements, rumors and what we can expect from MS at the E3 conference the first week of June. I covered Nintendo last week and Sony and the PC are upcoming.
I gave Microsoft the announcement of the year at last year's show via stealing away Final Fantasy 13 exclusivity from Sony and making the game multiplatform. At this point I think Microsoft needs another killer anno… More
One of these days publishers and gaming magazines should get on the same page. Here Take-Two has this big teaser website rolling for Bioshock 2 and Game Informer (full image there) goes and blows the lid on two huge spoilers for the game.
As suspected from the previous teasers and hints it seems the girls from Rapture are being kidnapped. Only I was a ways off when it came to exactly who is doing the kidnapping. According to the leaked cover from G… More
It's that time of year again; when the year still has that wonderful new car smell, carcinogens and other potential health risks notwithstanding.
I'm excited about 2009 and beyond. Needless to say, I'm excited about playing Starcraft II, should it ever come out this year, and I'm excited about Diablo III, which should make its way to us within less than a decade. I'm almost certain it'll be out and in our hands to play before Duke Nukem Forever finally sees the light of day.
