Ernest Hemingway once wrote a story in six words (“For sale: baby shoes, never used.”) and he was purported to have called it his best work. In love with the idea, Wired Magazine challenged writers to take a shot at writing their own six word story, many of which can be found here.
With that in mind, I am happy to announce that Hellforge is hosting the Torchlight Six Word Story Competition in which you, our readers (and would-be writers), will have a chance to win one of two copies of Runic Games’ astounding action RPG, Torchlight.
The competition is open to a worldwide audience. We aren’t restricting our winners to North America. If you can come up with a clever story, you can win.
All you have to do to participate is to register for an account on Hellforge (if you haven't already) where I can contact you if you’re the winner, and post a reply to this thread with your original six word story. The only prerequisite is that the story must be tangentially related to gaming.
We’ll be giving away two copies of Torchlight, courtesy of Runic Games.
Rules, for people who like lists:
- You can submit as many six word story entries as you like to increase your chances of winning.
- One account per person.
Happy writing!
