In collaboration with Polls Boutique we've set up a new poll entitled "Which change do you find to be the most controversial in Diablo III?"

The options are:
  • Health Orbs & Potions
  • Colorful Art Direction
  • Streamlined Inventory
  • Mana and Health Leech Removal
  • 4-5 Player Limited Parties
Vote here.

I'll be doing a full write-up on this little topic soon-ish. Feel free to chime in.

Not gonna vote there. Don't want to create an accoun there. Would have voted 4-5 player parties. Seems kinda small to me. Especially if you want to play clanwise..

You don't need an account to vote there. It's only needed to comment directly in the poll.

Hmm...I dont think any of these are very controversial but with D3 being described as a Co-op game first, Limiting Party Size is never smart...Though this can be reconsidered another day even after release.  I believe one of the reasons was to limit clutter on the screen, this suggestion would only help a little but they can do what Left 4 Dead did: highlight the PCs.

I don't like the colour direction and the removal of leech.

Leech was terrible to begin with, though. It made the whole game a potion-spamming slog fest. Leeching only alleviated that a bit.

Hence why balancing it would have been good, but scrapping it all together just gets rid of one more thing that made Diablo what it was... variety...

The less variables you have, the more likely that everyone will be the same and we won't see as many "fun" classes like the Hunger Druids from D2 for example...

variety is a good thing and they have just capped leech to like 5%. Or only allowed to wear one leech item. I think there will be plenty of variety when Diablo III comes out. A lot of things to be tried out.
