Valve has just announced that it is now accepting pre-orders for Left 4 Dead 2, sequel to the eponymous game without the '2' attached to the end of it. There's a Kanye reference buried in here somewhere but I think I'll just avoid it.
In any case, those who pre-order the game will be given early access to the Left 4 Dead 2 demo, which is currently targeted for October 27 and an exclusive in-game item -- the American baseball bat, for you to make like the Scout and cave in some skulls and break a few bones. Say goodbye to your kneecaps, chucklehead.
Additionally, Steam is offering a 10% discount to any pre-order, so you'll have a good month to make up your mind.
Grab it here.

So guys, I'm buying the game, but there's an L4D2 4-pack, where the game is going for $35.29. I've got Project Xii onboard and if I can get a couple of other people to pay me via Paypal I can make the purchase for all four of us and we can have the game for close to half the price of the game. Who's in?
Please respond quickly. I'm also talking to some people on reddit whom I'm doing this with so if they get back to me before you do, it's off.

$35.50USD is $40AUS. $60 cheaper then I'd get it retail (if I could considering it's banned in Australia) and the standard price of an Australian expansion pack. That's all I needed to keep me happy. Well, that and incorporating the first game somehow, but we can't have everything. Guess we'll see.

Worked out at less than £5 off for me, leaving it still up in the £20+ range. Not a good deal, sorry guys!

It's an offense to us Europeans, we have to pay 49.99 Euro which equals about 65$.
Even if we use the 4pack, we still pay 49 dollar then. Still overpriced.
People talk about us having taxes, but we don't.
It's only because Valve decided 1 Euro = 1 Dollar.

Meh, they better hope the demo later this month is something truly spectacular (doubt it), as it stands now I probably wouldn't even pay $25 USD for this game.
