Suicide Survival is your classic tale of man vs the wild, if that classic tale happened to be read by someone taking halucinatory drugs. The shrub team are tasked with sneaking up on the gardener team and exploding themselves. The only defence the gardeners have against such sinister shrubs is a book of Barbara Bush's gardening tips. It only takes one surprisingly bouncey edition of this book to put an end to a shrubs evil intentions, but it's easier said than done.
With the books in limited supply and the shrubs being of far greater number, there's no way the TF2 "flame test" can work, which prevents cheap evil shrub finding tactics. While not all shrubs can move (and explode), on the larger servers there can be 10 or more shrubs to contend with. It's incredibly hard work for the survivors, which is probably the games only real bad point.
While sneaking around as a shrub when the gardeners aren't looking is a lot of fun, there's always a feeling of guilt in the back of your mind. It's so much harder and less enjoyable to be a gardener than it is a shrub. You're slower, once the shrubs speed boost skill is taken into account; you're an instant target - there's no standing still to keep shrubs from spotting you; and nobody wants to play on the gardener team, so you'll probably be going up against 12 or so shrubs with your team of two or three gardeners.
It's a shame, because playing on the shrub team is a lot of fun. It's just so ridiculous and laugh-a-minute to play with the minds of the gardening team and see how close you can get to them before they realise what you are.
It's worth the 40mb download just to play for a couple of hours. It will surely get tiresome after a while, but for the moment this is a fantastic little time waster.
