Just thought I would give a heads-up for anyone on the PC who was waiting for a significant price reduction before jumping on the good ship Left4Dead.
This weekend is our time, brothers!
50% Off L4D on Steam for Valentine's Weekend
Â
That is all.

What I thought too. Bought it straight away now that I feel I'm paying a good price for what I'm getting, especially considering DLC is being talked about already.

On one hand this is great! It'll expand the community considerably.
On the other hand, it means another massive influx of newibes :/ We're still recovering from the Christmas swarm.
As for the reduced price, the 100+ I've spent on the game these past 3 months have been well worth the extra $25. I'm pro now, and just achieved Zombie Genocidist last night! (Killed 53,595 Infected, yay!)
But it's good news none the less. Everyone loves price drops.

Its still a new game, not even been out 6 months so noobs are to be expected.
But this isn't a massivly complex game. As long as they learn the tips and tricks for survival and dealing with situations it wont be as bad as, say, a noob to TF2.

Oh, I'm sure there will be noobs, but I'm thinking more of newbies. They're good guys, but they know absolutely nothing, so every new game becomes a training session.
It's ok, but honestly sometimes I just want a team of 3 skilled players with me, instead of 2 + 1 newbie who inadvertantly ends up killing us all

As well they should. And we love them back. It would seem that other companies are more interested in making a quick buck instead of having any extended loyalty from their customers.
