I thought this could be very interesting for those looking for a small break. Mythic will be removing the 10 day restriction from it's trial. Warhammer is not a bad game but it suffered from hype, a lot of it. This is a great way to give players a taste of what the game is about. There are some limitations to the trial:
- All trials account are restricted to Tier 1 content and Capital Cities.
- Trial accounts may receive mail and purchase from the auction house; however, no sending mail or create auctions is allowed.
- Trial accounts are limited to designated servers.
Some of these restrictions are in place to prevent population exploitation and gold sellers spam but it does't really affect what the trial is about. I had a blast when I played the game in Tier 1; Nordenwatch was one of my favorites BGs in WAR and we used to roll alts just to keep playing in this BG. Tier 1 RvR was not bad at all but the occasional zerg fest could happen from time to time.
This is an interesting move from Mythic; If you are bored or just want a break, give the trial a chance.

Does the Tier 1 content restriction have a huge effect? I've no idea what Tier 1 entails. Is it that you get to do fetch quests and that's it? :P

Tier 1 is fun, it shows you the basics of the entire game. The tier1 scenarios are pretty fun. So much so that they unlocked Nordenwatch (a tier 1 scenario) for all tiers.

Downloading then. I bet this will be a glorious waste of time though, as I'm english. Unless the european servers are superquick on updating to the US version of the game.

Frankly, having given WAR a month on release and a month in Summer after their last classes finally got released, I still think they have a long way to go and a lot to look at.
However, Nordenwatch was very enjoyable and being forced to level out of its bracket was annoying. I would actually dare say that this might actually be more popular than the full game. It's basically the same as people who used to twink in WoW lowbie BGs, except it's now free.

Yes! Nordenwatch was one of my favorites BGs as well. We used to roll alts just to keep playing in Nordenwatch. I edited the blog to add that information as well

I did have a lot of fun in this game, but it has its problems. I don't regret paying for a couple months of WAR though, you should take advantage of this new trial. If you are even interested in the least, go try it. Tier 1 is fun.

That's awesome considering Tier 1 was the best part of the game.
