Welcome to Hellforge! We're certainly not your average fan site, but that's what makes us unique.

Hellforge rose from the ashes of Hellgate Guru, one of the web's foremost Hellgate: London fan resources. Though the community thrived, the game itself was steeped in drama and grew to leave a bitter taste in many mouths. Still wanting to pursue their passion for gaming, the founders started up Blizzard Guru in anticipation of a Diablo III announcement at BlizzCon `08.

Off to a running start, Blizzard Guru was quickly noticed by the good folks at GameRiot. Realizing that the GameRiot network would be an ideal fit for our community, we soon made the move and became Hellforge, the Diablo 3 portal.

The strength of our current format with GameRiot is the opportunity our readers and writers have to shape the direction of our content. Over time, our diverse team of writers, readers, and administrators have used creative discipline to cultivate a truly unique fan site.

Diablo 3 may be our foundation, but today, our content ranges in tone and subject from light and satirical features to breaking news and exclusive interviews. It is the ultimate fan site in that it is created by and for fans of Diablo, video games, and gamer culture. Conversations born from comment threads organically grow to become articles, series, and recurring themes on our home page. Individual bloggers follow their own instincts and passions to paint a holistic picture of the industry scene.

We encourage all game enthusiasts to read, comment, and contribute how you wish. Unlike many game sites, we don't talk down to our readers and we don't answer to our advertisers. What we give you is pure passion (and a little bit of healthy snark!). In return, we ask for civilized, progressive discourse that moves the conversation forward and engenders innovation.
